So as the curtain falls on another blinder of an Edinburgh Festival, I head out tonight for my final show – Late ‘N’ Live if you must know. Lost my Silent Disco virginity last night and would highly recommend it to anyone. Also bumped into Jimmy Carr and Bo Burnham on the street and got a photo with them… we were more excited about Bo Burnham to be honest! What a talent.

I think I might only do one more post before I leave for a 3-week long road trip across the USA, but I’ll leave you tonight with 3 songs I can’t stop playing. Oh, and Best Coast‘s ‘Crazy For You’ is a contender for album-of-the-year for me.

So we’re just entering the last week of the Edinburgh Festival and I’ve had a delightful time – whether it’s soaking up sunbeams in the Spiegel Garden (see my pic below) or seeing hilarious comedy acts (Seann Walsh, Obama Mia!, Eleanor the Tour Whore) at various venues including the now-infamous Udderbelly Pasture (a massive upside-down purple cow). I’m also writing up my 1st-year PhD report and it’s hellish – I’m off to work on it now actually – but I’ll leave you with these thrillingly effortless tracks by Andras Fox & Sui Zhen, Pitchfork-featured Tropics, Gilles Peterson-featured Ogris Debris and George Fitzgerald. I’m actually feeling really rough today; was out last night for the opening night of the festival and I got very merry. Took the Holga too – so hopefully after I get the photos processed they’ll be good enough for the blog. Lots of famous comedians were spotted – Jack Whitehall, Jim Jeffries, Noel Fielding and…Caroline Rhea a.k.a. Aunt Hilda from Sabrina The Teenage Witch who we all proceeded to call Aunt Zelda until she corrected us hahahaha. Watch this space for that photo.
