As you can probably tell from the picture on the right I am a….whisper it….jaunge*. Yes, I’d probably have a bullet in my arse now if I was in M.I.A.‘s new 9-min banned video for ‘Born Free‘. At least I’m not this guy though!

The Suicide-sampling crack-racket that is ‘Born Free’, Kele from Bloc Party‘s new electro-dancefloor killer ‘Tenderoni’, the first taste of Aeroplane‘s new material with the reggae-esque ‘We Can’t Fly’, the Rawer-than-Iggy-&-The-Stooges blitzkrieg of Sleigh Bells‘ ‘Tell ‘Em’, the magnificent re-styling of Chilly Gonzales by up and coming Scottish talent Polymath and finally (just for fun) a clever mash-up of Rihanna and Crystal Castles by my favourite mash-up kings The Hood Internet. PHEW!

What an awful title haha. Do yourself a favour and add The Hood Internet to whatever RSS reader you have. You won’t regret it. Creating mash-ups using the music from indie/alternative songs and splicing it with siiiick rhymes, The Hood Internet really are excellent. The xx/DMX mash-up is their latest offering and probably their best one since that Grizzly Bear one.
