Had a great weekend so far – saw Hostage on Friday at Sugarbeat, then went to ‘Vegas‘ last night. Oh yeah, and I got accepted onto the Hype Machine!! Going to see Kick-Ass tonight – will hopefully cap it off nicely.

As for the songs? I don’t just post any old shite so here are the best songs I’ve been swinging a cat to recently. The new Flying Lotus album is a stormer – just really fresh. Also, Pariah‘s B-side ‘Orpheus’ is pure bassgasm – sounds like Hyph Mngo which is a high compliment.

My favourite album right now is ‘Weathervanes’ by Freelance Whales. You literally couldn’t stop me listening to it. Literally.

Yes the guy has a Sufjan Stevens boy-crush. Yes ‘Hannah’ has lyrics that crib from  ’Decatur, Or, Round Of Applause For Your Step Mother!‘ Yes ‘Broken Horse’ is almost a carbon copy/lovechild of ‘Casimir Pulaski Day‘. But I don’t give a shit. You’ll thank me later….player hater.

I’ve also been playing The Radio Dept.‘s new album to death and this is another highlight that I think I’m allowed to post. Lastly, this Redial remix reminds me of a GRUM remix and that can only be a good thing.
