Next post will probably be my Top Tracks Of 2010 (here are my lists from 2009 if you want to waste 10mins) so keep your eyes peeled for it. You respect my musical opinion…….right?
Forgot to post this amazing James Blake cover a while back and the radio keeps giving me gentle reminders – so this is for all you who haven’t heard a future genius-in-the-making. Matthew Herbert‘s album has also been getting a few late-to-the-game spins and ‘Leipzig’ is a highlight. Finally, Justus Kohncke and Alexis ‘Hot Chip’ Taylor have churned out a cracking wee tune with ‘Sorry’.
‘Blockhead’ will be on the new Kitsune Maison Compilation – loved it as soon as I heard it on the video teaser. Meanwhile Arkist has put out an absolute killer jam. Fill your boots.
What I like about Hostage is that he tries his hand at different styles and doesn’t just sit in his comfort zone. Case in point is ‘Sweet Sweet Riddim’ a Prodigy-style rave-a-thon. Impossible not to do the laptop headbop while this is on! APPROVED!
The internet is a fast moving beast, so the streaming MP3s that are posted may not work after a while due to them being taken down. And since I can't be arsed uploading them all again it's tough shite. I'll always post a link to a downloadable MP3 though. As always, if you like what you hear - away and buy it eh!
