Don’t you find it annoying when bands blatantly rip off other bands? I’ve been noticing it a lot lately when listening to 6music. Now I don’t mean “taking inspiration from and going their own way” – I mean slap-you-in-the-chops rip-off. Can’t remember what the band were called but if they’d sounded any more like Animal Collective I’d have phoned up to make sure they hadn’t got the track name wrong. RANT OO’ER!

There’s only 1 Panda Bear thankfuck, and his new track is such a grower I could swear I’ve been singing it in my sleep. Also NEW RADIOHEAD THIS SATURDAY I CAN’T FUCKING WAIT I’VE ALREADY PRE-ORDERED MINE HAVE YOU? Finally, a choice cut from Siriusmo‘s new album ‘Mosaik’. This song bangs and bangs and bangs and just keeps giving. Holla.

Just reignited my love for all things White Stripes after being tagged in a long-forgotten photo on Facebook. Believe it or not, in high school, me (as Meg) and Niccolo (the Italian exchange student – as Jack) performed ‘Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground‘ as The White Stripes for our school’s annual ‘Stars In Your Eyes’ competition. HERE is the evidence. We didn’t win (obvs) but we were the only act to play completely live with no backing track. I ROCKED THE FUCK OUT OF THOSE DRUMS, DALE!
