Lost my Silent Disco virginity last night and would highly recommend it to anyone. Also bumped into Jimmy Carr and Bo Burnham on the street and got a photo with them… we were more excited about Bo Burnham to be honest! What a talent.

I think I might only do one more post before I leave for a 3-week long road trip across the USA, but I’ll leave you tonight with 3 songs I can’t stop playing. Oh, and Best Coast‘s ‘Crazy For You’ is a contender for album-of-the-year for me.

I’m also writing up my 1st-year PhD report and it’s hellish – I’m off to work on it now actually – but I’ll leave you with these thrillingly effortless tracks by Andras Fox & Sui Zhen, Pitchfork-featured Tropics, Gilles Peterson-featured Ogris Debris and George Fitzgerald. He was widely recognised as one of the foremost Scottish poets of the 20th Century. His poem in the Idlewild song below was the inspiration for the name of this blog.
